My name is Hilary Burke

My name is Hilary, and I am a grateful, recovering addict with more than 15 years clean. I am also a Social Worker, Public Speaker, Community Health Consultant and Integrative Coach. Don’t let the social work part scare you! The work that I do is different from therapy, although there may be some overlap and can work well in combination, my work is not considered “therapy”.

I specialize in speaking loudly and openly about my lived experience with drugs, alcohol, and mental illness as well as substance use prevention, harm reduction strategies, breaking stigmas and dispelling myths around addiction and mental health. Whether it’s through my public speaking engagements, my consulting services, or Integrative Coaching, I use my voice, training, and expertise to educate, advocate, and challenge stigmas and myths around substance use disorder and mental illness.

B Loud Recovery is where science, psychology, social work, prevention education, and community outreach meet holistic well-being. I apply my decades of training and experience as a social worker, nonprofit leader, and consultant, leading organizations and managing people, with my extensive studies and practice in health promotion/disease prevention through sociocultural, behavioral, psychological, and biological factors contributing to wellness and disease, especially addiction.

If you, a loved one, or your community, are struggling with the inability to manage thoughts, emotions, and actions around drugs and alcohol, or you have reached a point where you are overwhelmed in your season of life because of your substance use, the substance use of a loved one, or your community needs help addressing circumstances that are challenging the spirit of the entire community, or you are just feeling stuck, I can help you.

My integrative approach towards professional coaching, public speaking, and consulting thrive on the synergy of diverse practices, creating a comprehensive and tailored framework for client transformation. My knowledge of substance use prevention and planning and the disease of addiction combined with my depth of understanding for the challenges faced by individuals and communities, allows me to deliver a unique and compassionate style of public speaking, consulting, and coaching, essential when working across diverse audiences.

I recover out loud, so others don't suffer in silence!
